Youth Ministry
Saturday night at Beeches Road is a time of fun and fellowship for girls between the ages of 11 and 18. We start the evening with exciting games such as football, relays, the human knot, pictionary, charades, and many others. These activities are a great way to get out of your shell and meet new friends! During the cold winter months, you can show your creative side indoors by participating in a lot of interesting crafts including card-making, sewing, painting, origami, cookie decorating, and jewelry-making. At the Girls Youth Rally, we love music and we are always learning new songs. Sometimes we sing as a group in the church services, and every Christmas we go caroling around town. Each week, we learn about a different missionary or woman in the ministry, and we pray for them as well as send them a card of encouragement signed by all of the girls. Many times they write back to us, and it is lovely to hear about what God is doing in other parts of the world! We will often have a word of testimony from one of the teens about how they became a Christian and how the Lord is working in their life. Most importantly, one of the teachers gives a talk about something helpful from the Bible. We just concluded a six-month series on “Women of Great Faith” about ladies in the Bible and also in history that God used in a mighty way, which was challenging to all of us. Now we are learning many of the “Virtues of a Godly Woman”, including truthfulness, grace, patience, forgiveness, patience, purity, contentment, and joyfulness. All of our lessons are kept in notebooks which we decorated ourselves. We are so grateful for all that the Lord has done at the Girls Youth Rally during the last three years, and we hope that you or someone you know will come and visit us soon!
