Church Family BBQ
Saturday, July 17, 2010

It was such a thrill to see such a great turn-out for the church BBQ at the Marsh Farm House.  Around 75 people showed up for an enjoyable afternoon of food, games, and fellowship.

At the end of the afternoon, Pastor Zenker gave a short talk on the three homes every person ought to have: a Christian home, a church home, and a Heavenly home.  We are thankful for everyone who was able to attend, and we hope everyone went away feeling refreshed and encouraged.

Honouring the Veterans
Saturday, June 26, 2010

Our special veterans service on June 26th recognised those who have served in the Armed Forces to protect our freedoms.  WWII veteran, Joseph Jones, spoke to our children about the sacrifices he and others made during his service in the navy.

Each child present had the opportunity to have their photo taken wearing a British military helmet from the Second World War or from the present conflict in Afghanistan.  Far from glamourizing war, we do desire to show our respect to those who have sacrificed to serve Queen and country.

Please pray for the military veterans who visit and attend Beeches Road Baptist Chapel.

Crown College Trio
Sunday, June 20, 2010

A girl's singing trio from Crown College in the United Sates visited with us in June.  Many visitors came out to hear them sing.  Everyone enjoyed the Christ-honouring music and we are thankful they were able to come.  Please pray for them as they are travelling in Germany and France right now.
